Isaac Steinhour (Tenor)
Born and raised in Findlay, OH, music has always been a big part of Isaac’s life. He started singing and reciting poetry on stage at his home church when he was just four years old. Throughout his childhood and high school years, Isaac was extremely active in both music and theatre. In his senior year of high school, he was low brass section leader in the marching band and concert band playing the tuba, publicity chair in the orchestra, a singer dancer in Findlay First Edition Show Choir, a member of Children of the Light (a music group that performed in area churches), and he even starred as Jesus in that year ’s production of Godspell. After graduation, there was no question Isaac would pursue a career in music and theatre. He attended Ohio Northern University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in International Theatre Production, Musical Theatre, and French. During his college years, Isaac stayed as busy as he always had doing multiple productions and concerts; he even spent a summer studying abroad in France. Isaac’s life forever changed in October of 2014 when he got a call from Mark asking if he would audition for the tenor position in Sojourner. He joined the group in November of that year. This was a dream come true for Isaac because he had grown up around Southern Gospel Music. His father, Paul Steinhour, was a singer/songwriter who traveled with a group called The Fisherman out of Clyde, OH in the 80’ s and 90’s. Paul even wrote a song that Sojourner recorded in the early 2000’s. Because of this collaboration, Isaac became a Sojourner fan at a young age. He and his dad would even ride along on the Sojourner bus to local concerts from time to time. Isaac got his own chance at songwriting when he wrote He’ll Be There which the group recorded on their Redemption project. In 2016, Isaac married the love of his life, Michelle, and they currently live in Columbus. Isaac manages the office for the group and produces many of the vocal arrangements for their recordings. Isaac is thrilled that he is able to use his talents and spend his life traveling and singing what he considers to be the best music ever.
